Every Friday night you can travel with the gondel to experince a romantic candle light dinner - Museum visits are also possible at night when the Restaurant is open.
The Cable Car Museum is located on the first floor of Restaurant Hochkitzbühel, above the Hahnenkamm Cable Car top terminal. It is packed with interesting and quaint facts about Kitzbühel's history, as a pioneer af alpine winter sports in general and about the history of the Bergbahn AG Kitzbühel Cabel Car company in particular.
Skiing was first practised in Kitzbühel on the Kitzbüheler Horn 100 years ago. The pioneering spirit, persistence and the visionary foresight of those few individuals provided the basis for Kitzbühel's reputation as a World reknowned International Ski destination and tourist resort. Visitors to the museum go bach in time, thanks to innumerable historic exhibits, pictures and contemporary documents. The visit becomes an exciting journey through the last century.
